Important: 
Gorilla tracking is dependent on the permits availability at the time of your booking. Gorilla permits in all parks are on a very high demand and we advise that you book them as early as possible.

 

  • Day one: Arrival at the Entebbe Airport.

    On arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by a Churchill representative who will later transfer you to your hotel I Entebbe for an overnight. Overnight at Airport link guest house on BB.

  • Day two: Entebbe to Murchison falls

    Travel time: Approx. 6 hours Activities of the day: Transfer to Murchison falls and an optional visit to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. This morning, you will set off for Murchison Falls National park for two nights passing via Masindi having an optional stop at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking. Have lunch en route and arrive in the evening. Murchison Falls National Park this is where Nile explodes through a narrow gorge and cascades down to become a placid river whose banks are thronged with hippos and crocodiles, waterbucks and buffaloes. The vegetation is characterised by savannah, riverine forest and woodland. Wildlife includes lions, leopards, elephants, giraffes, hartebeests, oribis, Uganda kobs, chimpanzees, and many bird species arriving in the evening and overnight.   • Day Three - Murchison Falls National Park.

    Activities of the day: Morning Game Drive and afternoon boat trip. This morning you will depart for an early morning game drive across the rolling plains of Uganda’s largest National Park returning later to the lodge for breakfast. The 3,893 sq. km park is home to a range of animals, and you will have a chance of viewing some of the Park’s residents including lions, giraffes, hartebeest, buffalo, and elephants. For the birders amongst you, these areas support the secretary bird and the black chested snake eagle, to name a few. You will relax at the lodge and later in the afternoon, go for a boat trip to the base of Murchison Falls, where the Nile thunders through a small 7-meter gap plunging 43 meters into the Nile on the way to Lake Albert. The banks of the Nile are densely populated with crocodiles, hippopotamus, and a range of other Wildlife that come to the river to drink. There is also the option of getting off the boat and hiking up the side of the falls to the top but at an additional cost. Later, head to your lodge and rest.   • Day Four .Murchison Falls-Hoima

    Travel Time: approx... 3-4 hours Activities of the day: visit top of the falls and after transfer to Hoima passing via Butiaba, lunch and overnight in Hoima. After breakfast, you shall visit the top of Murchison falls and later continue to hoima to reduce the journey to Kibale forest.you will pass via Butiaba to view the beautiful landscape of Lake Albert, arriving in the afternoon. While being entertained by one of the cultural groups, You will have dinner and. overnight at Hoima Cultural Lodge BB.

  • Day Five: Hoima-Kibale Forest national park

    Travel distance: 218.6 km/4hr Activities of the Day: transfer to Kibale Forest National Park. After breakfast, you will depart ‘Hoima for Kibale Forest National park arriving in the afternoon. Kibale Forest is a large protected block of rainforest, which has the highest number of primates in Africa such as Chimpanzees, Grey Cheeked Mangabey, Red Tailed monkey and Red Colobus. Relax in the evening and get ready for the following day’s chimp tracking. Accommodation at chimpanzee forest lodge HB.

  • Day six: Kibale Forest National Park.

    Activities of the day: Chimpanzee tracking and Afternoon Bigodi Swamp Walk. This morning you will go for Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest. Follow a network of forest trails to find the habituated chimps squabbling and swinging from the trees. Spending an hour with these primates is an exhilarating experience. Spend the morning in the forest returning to the lodge in time for lunch. After having your lunch at the lodge, you will have the opportunity to visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary which is rich in bird species, vegetation, and wildlife.   • Day Seven: Kibale National Park- Queen Elizabeth

    Travel time: Approx. 2.5 hours Activities transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park. After breakfast, you will depart Kibale and then head for Queen Elizabeth National Park having a game drive while entering the park arriving in the afternoon. Have lunch and later go for an early evening game drive. Its little wonder that Queen Elizabeth boasts one of the highest bio diversity ratings of any game park or reserve in the world, - from the open Savannah to Rain Forest, dense Papyrus Swamps and brooding Crater lakes to: the vastness of Lake Edward. Almost 100 mammal species that include Lions, Hippos, Buffaloes, Leopard, Spotted Hyena, Elephants and the elusive Giant Forest Hog plus remarkable 606 bird species that include the Black Chested Eagle, the Swallow Tailed Bee Eaters, to mention but a few. The Primates include Chimps, Black and White Colobus Monkeys, Blue, Black Faced Red Colobus, and Red Tailed monkeys and Olive Baboons. Reptiles are the amazing huge Rock-Python, Puff adders, Spitting Cobras, Gabon vipers, Green Mambas, and Turtles etc. All these are regularly sighted around the tourist village on the Mweya Peninsula and all this makes a superb safari territory. You may have an option of engaging your selves in the below activities. Kasoga Community Experience: this is a community initiative on Lake George Ramsar site in Hamukungu fishing village, south-western of kasenyi on the edge of Queen Elizabeth National park. That offers authentic local experiences prime focus of this experiential tour in Queen is to encourage local engagement in tourism industry and support local economy such as fishing activities. Queen’s Pavilion: Just 800 metres from the equator monument, and overlooking a thrilling landscape of crater lakes is the Queen´s Pavilion, a community-run internet café. This is the perfect spot to revive yourself after an early morning safari with a cup of Ugandan tea or coffee. Listen to the elephants trumpeting on the dry plains below and enjoy the savannah views. Katwe Salt Walk: This tour offers a unique insight into the fascinating process of salt mining, as well as providing an alternative income for Katwe. During the tour you will see community members at work, cross the mud walkways and enter one of the traditional grass huts used to shelter and store tools. The nearby bird sanctuary lake offers a chance to see flamingos from October to May. Kikorongo African Art Workshop: Traditional crafts hold a special significance in Ugandan villages. Small baskets of groundnuts as a sign of friendship; a calabash on top of a house to ward off evil spirits or a traditional healer´s woven purse filled with natural remedies.   • Day Eight: QENP

    Activities of the day: Morning Game Drive and Afternoon boat cruise. In the morning, you will have a game drive to the Kasenyi area to look out for lions, elephants, giraffes, buffalo and other wildlife like the Uganda Kob, before returning to the Lodge for breakfast. You will relax and later go for an afternoon boat trip along the Kazinga Channel. Hippo’s huff and spray mere feet away from the boat, Buffalos linger in the shallows, a tremendous variety of birds grace the grasses on the shores. Great White and Pink-Backed Pelicans, Great and Long-Tailed Cormorants, Open-Billed Stork, African Jacana, Malachite and Pied Kingfishers are commonly seen. Relax at your lodge.   • Day Nine: Queen Elizabeth National Park-Bwindi

    Activities of the day: Transfer to Bwindi. Travel Time: 250.8 km/5hr, 40min After breakfast, have a mini game drive as you bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth national park and then continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest for three nights. Home to over half of the world’s mountain gorilla population. Interacting with these gentle giants is one of the most moving experiences that Africa has to offer and should not be missed! The ancient rainforest of Bwindi spans 321 sq km and boasts 90 mammal species, including a range of primates, as well as 23 Albertine Rift endemic bird species, including the African Green Broadbill, the Bar Tailed Trogon and many others Relax in the evening and get ready for the following day’s gorilla tracking.   • Day Ten: Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

    Activities of the day: Gorilla tracking. Time to trek the gorillas! Set off to the departure point for a full briefing and meet your gorilla trek guide. The guides will be identifying the position of each gorilla group and know which is the closest departure point to trek from. The hiking is through thick, verdant rainforest, with your guide and porter using a machete to clear a path and assist you up and down steep terrain. Spending time with the gorillas in their natural habitat is an amazing and unforgettable experience. The final trek times can vary enormously according to where the gorillas have moved to but most guests spend an hour with these amazing wild animals.   • Day Eleven Bwindi- Bwindi – Lake Bunyonyi

    Activities: Morning drive to Lake Bunyonyi, pm boat tour along the lake Travel time: 65.6 km/2hr This morning you will have breakfast and then drive to Kisoro. You can choose to go for the coffee experience as a way of supporting the local community where you will be taken through a coffee plantation, take you through the process of roasting your own coffee and then tasting it afterwards. You can also go for a canoe boat on Lake Mutanda or Mulehe and after wards a village walk. Afterwards proceed to Lake Bunyonyi Kabale known as the Switzerland of Uganda with beautiful scenery and terraced farming arriving in the afternoon. Have a boat trip on the deepest lake in Africa (Lake Bunyonyi). Overnight at Bunyonyi Rock resort . HB

  • Day Twelve: Bunyonyi to Lake Mburo

    Travel time: Approx.5 hours. Activities of the day: Breakfast, transfer Lake Mburo and evening game drive The adventure continues as you spend one night at Lake Mburo National Park. The 371 sq. km park is an extension of the Tanzanian Plains and has distinctly different fauna compared to other Ugandan parks. It is the best place in the country to see Eland Antelope, Zebra, Impala, and Acacia. The five lakes within the park attract hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds, while fringing swamps hide black and yellow papyrus gonalek. You will later relax at your lodge or participate in available optional activities and these include: Horseback Riding Safaris: What better way to explore the park than on horseback! Horseback riding safaris are available for various times and are suitable for all levels of riders including the non-experienced. Quad Biking to spot Game: Because there are few big cats, biking is one of the best ways to spot game in Lake Mburo National Park. The Quad bike rides take you in the middle of grazing zebra and surrounding areas to spot the local Banyankole tribe graze their long horned cattle.   • Day Thirteen Lake Mburo - Entebbe

    Activities of the day: Morning Game drive or guided forest walk, transfer Entebbe visit to the Equator. After breakfast, you will have a morning game drive as you depart lake Mburo National Park or have an optional guided forest walk and then proceed to Entebbe having a stop to look at the Royal Drum makers, the Equator - where you will be able to stand and be on both hemispheres at once arriving in the evening for your flight back home
